About this speaker
Zimmi Coker grew up in Manitou Springs, Colorado. She began her ballet training with her mother, Michele Coker, at the age of 10 and continued training at Classic Dance Academy in Denver. At 15, she joined ABT’s JKO school and participated for a year before being asked to join ABT’S Studio Company for two years. Afterwards, she joined ABT as a full fledged member in 2018. She’s performed in several soloist and principal parts with the company over the years. Zimmi has a side passion for reading and writing and has written for Dance Magazine. Zimmi also enjoys cats, and hiking the Rocky Mountains during ABT’s off season!
