About this speaker

Lauren Borowski, MD, grew up in Northeastern Pennsylvania and graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Dance. It was while she was at Tisch that she decided she wanted to go to medical school with the specific interest of providing care for dancers and performing artists. She attended Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia for medical school and completed a residency in Family Medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston Salem, NC. She then ventured west and completed a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Utah. She returned to NYC after fellowship and joined the faculty at NYU School of Medicine in December 2017. She has been a physician working with the Harkness Center for Dance Injuries since that time. She is currently the co-medical director for Baruch College athletics and the Convent of the Sacred Heart School. She is the medical director for Yeshiva Athletics. She has been the head team physician for the United States Men's Ski Jumping team since April 2020 and was given the great honor of getting to provide medical care for the team in China during the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
